Stressed

Been trying hard this weekend to get a backlog of work stuff out the way - but the power socket that my laptop is plugged into seems to be a bit flaky. I have to keep reaching down under my desk to give the plug a bit of a push every now and then. It’s driving me mad - and I’m getting very stressed.

Give the plug a little push yourself - right there in the picture below. It’s the first plug on the second distribution board from the left. (Hover over the space bar on my keyboard for a hint.)

This will load a shockwave flash movie - “pop-video” of a song called “Stress” by Jim’s Big Ego - from around 4 years ago. It’s around 1.5 Megabytes - so won’t take long to load - even on dialup. Once it’s loaded - you won’t have to load it again.

TURN IT UP: This song is exactly ABOUT ME right now.

Everybody’s out to get me - but I feel alright …
Stress (Song by Jim’s Big Ego.)

Hey Jag! How are you? Did you see Bride and Prejudice yet? Hows it taken in Britain? Do write a post on that if you have the time :) Posted by: Shobha on October 10, 2004 05:57 PM
Oops! I just saw ur post on Bride and Prejudice. Sorry ya, have been irregular coz of my exams:) But well I need a review from you :) A a different perspective for sure :) Posted by: Shobha on October 10, 2004 06:10 PM
Hi Shobha - hope you're doing well in your exams. I haven't seen the film yet - but I will be seeing it soon for sure! I have heard mixed reviews of it so far though. Many saying that it is nowhere near as good as Bend It. From what I have heard - Asian/Indian people will CRINGE big time at the acting and dialogue - and I also hear that there is a real lack of on-screen chemistry between Ash and the lead male actor (Henderson). Also - the songs are reported as being really annoying! So - in a away - I'm not really looking forward to it to be honest! Still - has to be done - I will definitely post a review as soon as I see it. You keep well! Posted by: Jag on October 10, 2004 08:09 PM
Also - I hear that there is a Hindi-dubbed version of the film - which has been simultaneously released under the title "Balle Balle: Amritsar to LA". Posted by: Jag on October 10, 2004 08:10 PM
I just finished watching a funny marionette show from the sixties called the Thunderbirds.... Guess where it was filmed? 21st Studios ... in none other than Slough UK LOL Posted by: Fritz on October 11, 2004 03:15 AM
Hey Jag, I saw the movie in English. I'm sure the dubbed version doesn't have that effect. :) Posted by: Shobha on October 11, 2004 04:22 AM
Hi Fritz: yes - the Thunderbirds production is one of Slough's "claim to fame" ! Posted by: Jag on October 12, 2004 10:00 PM
