The Apple brand is an icon of progressive, hi-tech sophistication - wherever in the world you might be.

Apple is something I take to office to eat in brk time..but very seldom does. Jude, my colleague, lovs to munch on these..not that he is very fond of apples..but gets kicks( I mean literally too) eating wht I get..
I just lovvvvvvv ur journals..Keep up the good work Jag. :)
Despite more or less having given up buying CDs because of the cost I do get that terrible itching feeling that I know I am going to buy an iPod one day. But what will I put on it?
Years ago when looking for a new computer, a friend I should buy a Mac, as it’s a “Lustobjekt”, as German so neatly puts it. That was a killer argument for me so I went out and bought one. I loved it. But recently having set up an online shop, I went back to Windows as I needed that OS for the bookkeeping software. Well the business hasn’t run as well as it could; I’ve got a new job and I never got around to implementing the software because we can do without it. So I’m kicking myself that I didn’t buy the new iMac. There’s not a lot of difference anymore between Mac and Windows on the usability front but it’s a joy to see a Mac on your desk whereas I wish my Windows laptop would go away and hide when not in use.
Is that Regent Street? I could even to be tempted to go and buy some Christmas presents down there if it’s that close.
Posted by: diamond geezer on June 30, 2004 09:54 AMMini: thank you for your comment! And I’m glad that you like the journals too. I love eating apples too! :-)
David: I know how you feel regarding the cost of CDs. And although I’ve never personally owned a Mac myself - I find myself too often getting Mac envy - especially the widescreen Mac laptop version! I have far too often played around with somebody else’s Mac laptop - wishing I had one myself …
DG: No it’s not Regent Street - and I would probably be doing the same thing (buying Christmas presents) if it was! No - it’s much further away than that. Sure - you could probably get a bus or tube for part of the journey there - but the rest of the trip would probably be a bit longer and more expensive! (Sorry for being so cryptic!)

Posted by: Jag on July 3, 2004 02:21 PMMy powerbook is one of my most treasured possessions and I love it dearly. It took a while to get used to though, having used pc’s only until I bought it back in april. It’s a lot harder to get software for macs…certain things I’d grown dependent upon, gaim for instance, just isn’t available for macs. It’s not a problem, because there’s tons of alternatives available, it just means you have to do a bit of extra work finding the stuff and getting used to it. But it’s worth it…just for the beautiful glowing apple logo on the lid alone.…
Posted by: sue on July 7, 2004 06:36 PMAmazing picture.
Posted by: azeem on July 7, 2004 09:11 PMSue: you have a Powerbook? Jealous. What’s “gaim”? Yes - the logo itself oozes style doesn’t it. Especially since they started to use the white-on-grey logo instead of the multi-coloured one. I also noticed that the standard fonts render much nicer on the Mac than on the PC running Windows.
