Empty Desk | Preparing for Safeway |
Empty Desk is my desk in the corner of the bedroom. Things to note:
Hayfever tabs next to keyboard. Father’s Day card made by little Miss Route79 next to laptop. Ikea desk lamp. Psion netBook on drawer chest.
Preparing for Safeway is what Ms.Route79 is doing in her study. Yep - I have a small corner of a bedroom - she gets a room of her own.

Just to get priorities right, when we found we were squeezing into the smallest room of the house (other than the bathrooms and toilet, ok?) we turned the dining room into a study. Now known at home as the “back office” it has taken over from the “front office”, which has now become a bit of a storeroom.
So do you think we don’t eat, or just have TV dinners? Wrong - we have a nice conservatory which is the real dining room now.

Actually - a point of order: I am sure we spend more time of our lives with goggle-eyes at our laptops than we do sleeping. So there - makes me feel justified in devoting a corner of our bedroom to computer living.
