… for a few days.
In Woking (Surrey) until Thursday - no email, no web, no mobile phone - and then in the forests of deepest Hampshire until Friday - somewhere called Tylney Hall.
Back Saturday. Hope the world changes just a little bit whilst I’m gone.
“Neon signs a-flashin’,
taxi cabs and buses passin’ through the night
A distant moanin’ of a train
seems to play a sad refrain to the night“
From “A Rainy Night in Georgia” by Brook Benton

Posted by: Jaina on June 9, 2003 07:23 PMWell - I am an optimist in my heart - so I always have high hopes! (Written from a soulless hotel bedroom using what’s left of my laptop battery and my mobile phone as a modem.)
Posted by: Jag on June 10, 2003 12:52 AMHey - the world’s ever-changing, even when we wish it were otherwise!! Perhaps you just need to wash your eyes thoroughly :-) .….…..
Posted by: Rileen on June 10, 2003 10:00 PMHello: yes - perhaps I do need to! (eyes wash thoroughly) - but you know: I don’t wish it were otherwise. No: I am myself an agent of change. Change is what makes me tick. I am ever-optimistic that the world will change. Even in a momentary blink of my eyes.
Thanks for commenting. Hope you did well in your exams. Do visit again. It will almost certainly stimulate more change.
Best regards - Jag
