Slough in Pictures Part 4
Just behind my desk at work - there is a huge window. This is the third floor - and it affords itself probably the most spectacular view of Slough: The ICI factory, Slough Mosque - and housing estates a-plenty. It rained pretty hard today. On and off. All day a very grey day. I rolled my office chair backwards to said window - and stared out across the brick and concrete valley. There was nothing really wanting of inspiration. But I was reminded to trawl my archives for what I managed to snap from earlier this year. May, in fact. A spectacular view of the most fullest rainbow I've ever seen; yes - right here in Slough. From right here through the window behind my desk! Of course - the camera's autofocus targeted the drops on the window instead of the rainbow - but, in retrospect, I think it captured the moment suitably.

Maybe all slough needs a a few more rainbows and it could become less of a pitt.

It does look amazing. Then what was wrong with Slough.
BTW, I tried Mutter Panneer, from your website. Superb. Everybody loved it. Thanx.
Next I am probably going to try Mirch Masala or Aloo Gobi.
My culinary skills are definitely improving.

Fritz: I have indeed seen the Badmash "dishoom" animation - and hilarious it was too!
Jaina: Although the picture is absolutely real - the "welcoming" aspect is completely an illusion! ;-) Trust me!
Strop: I have to agree with 100% - if people saw more of the "bright" side - then it sure would be no less "dismal" than anywhere else!
Sat: You have to "see" Slough to determine for yourself what many (non-Slough) people think of it! And I'm really proud that you have tried some of the recipes too! Well done - and keep practising - as I can assure you that practise makes perfect in this regard! (The aloo gobi will take several attempts to get right I might add - it always does!)
Chakra and JC: Many thanks!

Amazing pic - I'm surprised some marketing type from Dulux wasn't out with a camera. Missed opportunities and all...

You know what Vicky: I hadn't even thought of that "connection" until you mentioned it! And you're absolutely right!
