Brent Cross Mannequins
Brent Cross Shopping mall is just a few minutes from where we live. It seems that a million of people descend on this place every weekend. Whenever I'm there - I usually spend most of the time in the WHSmith bookshop - or the Sony store - or the home electronics section of the John Lewis department store. Only this time - the preponderance of mannequins in the world of apparel got my attention. For example: Headless at Next:

Hi there!
I found your blog via London Bloggers and just wanted to say hello as a fellow Sudbury/Alpertonite.
Route 79 buses, ay? Yeah, they stack up around Alperton garage in the evenings. What fun I have swerving round them on my way home from work...
This is a blog I shall definitely be keeping an eye on!
(Oh yeah, and the yellow signs in Heathrow is THE sign that you're home. As you said, you can feel the relief coming off fellow passengers when you see that first one saying "Arrivals/Baggage Reclaim/Connections." Good old Heathrow.)

No moving mannequins anywhere - the ones that wave their hands to say hai - or something like that.
Heard that Concorde is to make its final journey ( http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/scotland/3555093.stm )- for some distance along the Thames too... Will you be able to catch it?

I was in Ealing on Saturday and the Next store there has some really aggro looking mannequins - head tilted forward, shoulders hunched and hands in fists - I'll take photie next time I'm passing...

Hi Sat: no moving ones spotted yet! Although have heard that they sometimes do in Harrods in town!
James: sounds interesting! I suppose mannequins reflect society's behaviours somewhat ...
