Colour change

I decided to change the colours here. Apologies if it initially has a strange effect on your eyes. It's all in the mind. You'll get used to it I'm sure. In the meantime, enjoy the following snapsot. On Wembley High Road there the local Council (Brent) have commisioned an "ethnically-correct" mural by "Kamala Arts" painted in a "street" style on some hoardings which cover up the ugly view of a car park behind the parade of shops. There are some stairs down to this car-park at one end of the long mural - and a sign on the wall in this gap where the stairs are.
No pissing warning.

I believe that a good color scheme shoud not be too bright on the eyes, and I suppose it depends on the person to think which is good for him.
I notice that u have changed your blog description also - from Hammersmith to Queensbury.
I find it amusing that the random location pissing problem is prevalent there too.

Hi Sat - actually the description always said Queensbury - but I simply took out the reference to "work" being in Hammersmith. It was a sad moment of editing ...

Hmm, you may want to create a little more contrast by using a lighter shade of grey for the entries. Say #CCC?

Thanks for the feedback Stu - have changed text to #CCCCCC on your recommendation. So much depends on contrast settings of people's monitors I suppose. The #999999 was fine on my screen - but possibly not on other people's. Still - let me know if this works OK for you.

Actually - I switched it back to #999999 - I reset my monitor - and the high contrast was way to harsh on the eyes. There's no winning in this game unless everyone has the same eyes and the same monitor calibration.

Hmmm, looks too dark to me, and I've tried it on three monitors (one with a Mac using Safari, which antialiases text). Using a medium grey text on a black blackground is arguably as naughty as using medium grey text on a white background; it's OK for small amounts of text, but not for main content. It's readable, but why make users strain their eyes? #CCCCCC should not be too bright (though white would be). You could try something in between #999 and #CCC, although this would not be 'web-safe'. Maybe it's just me. Anyone else have an opinion on this?

OK - I just tried #AAAAAA - prob not web-safe - but slight less dark - any change?

Looks better Jag.
