Let it snow
We had "proper" snow this evening in London:

Does it snow often in this time of the year? IT does look very pretty. But I heard that after that, when the snow melts, it becomes all slushy and icky; not comfortable to walk at all.

Ooh! Purty :-)
As my car didn't seem to like the cold yesterday I decided to get the bus - I don't know how you manage it everyday.
I waited for an hour (For a bus due every 10 minutes) before giving up and walking. And what happened as soon as I was halfway between bus stops? 3 of the buggers drove past! Grrrr!
I'm 'working' from home today in protest...

Sat: Generally speaking - if it's going to snow - then mid-Jan to mid-Feb is the most likely period of snowfall here in UK. However: by some amazing coincidence - it is exactly 1 year ago to the day that we had our last snowfall. You may read all about my nine-hour nightmare journey home that day by going to http://www.jag.me.uk/transporthell
James: I didn't get a bus yesterday either. Impossible. On any other day the buses are just fine!

Hi Jealoustwin - read your story - good to hear that there are some kind souls still left out there!
Jaina: yes - be glad: I walked it all the way from Alperton tube to home (kingsbury) last night - and my muscles are still aching! Still - in a strange kind of way - I really enjoyed it!
