Blog shady
In my first ever blog entry - I stated that "the art of noise is in its association" - where the association can be with anything that you care to think of. Recently I've been spending my bus journies home listening to the MP3 tracks on my nifty new little MP3 player - which as you've probably guessed by now - I'm really impressed with. And there is a particular song that never ceases to amaze me regarding the sheer volume and diversity of its lyrical content - and that is a song by rap artist Eminem called "Without Me". So - on a melancholy Friday-night journey home from work I decided to try to "associate" the noise of this particular song with some of blogs in my blog-roll. And this is what I came up with: Click on the smiley - turn up the volume - and when it's loaded - click in the red buttons in a random fashion to create some aural, blogg-rolly art.Posted by jag at September 13, 2003 10:31 PM

Well I guess my choice of the plural for the association with yours was rather clairvoyant eh? :-) Cheers!

Shobha - we should do one for the Indian bloggers too! Except I'll need some help with that - because being Punjabi I cannot understand the lyrics of some of the more "complicated" Hindi filmi songs - so maybe you could help me find appropriate filmi song lyrics to "match" witht he Indian bloggers in my left-hand sidebar?

Hi Amrita, good to see you back.
The freshest bhangra stuff on UK scene at the moment is sort of "British Bhangra" - i.e. stuff produced by British Born Punjabis who got into DJ-ing. For example - Rishi Rich and Panjabi MC. You gott be careful thought - because this stuff sometimes isn't like bhangra at all - it is very unique to UK scene - but is very popular over here. Here are some interesting links:

Gurdas Maan is also making a comeback over here - with some good music.
