Yes - it seems he didn't enjoy it at all. Frankly - I'm not surprised.

Thx for the link Stu. A very good synopsis! The "microphone" incident had me in hysterics! It was totally cringeworthy - I really did feel so sorry for him.

It did sound bad (but good...). Hopefully they'll repeat it.

I had bernard manning at my pub the night before Bernards bombay dream was screened. He took the place by storm. I sold that show out in 2 days, had him back the following week due to the demand for tickets, and I have to say what a great guy he is. Oh yea, booked him for october 1st and guess what, sold out again on the stregnth of a poster in a couple of local shops.Myself and regulars have nothing but admiration and if you ever get the chance to see him he is well worth the money. long live BM!!

You were right that web site is funny. It also gives you an insight in what Bernard is really like. I never knew he did so much for charity including helping coloured people as well as whites!!

I felt sorry for him. His working class humour does not work with educated Indians. And it’s the same thing over here his audience are working class who are not really well cultured. (No disrespect to them). But the pleasure of a pig is different from that of horse. Has he ever performed at ascot or well to do places? Or has he?

Oh well he can thank the worlds different cultures for where he is today, because if they never exited. BM would not of existed. So he has alot to thank them for.

I saw that show and I saw BM going down very well in the Jazz by the Sea club, and the crowd calling for more at the end. The fact is that Bernard's manager Chris Graham (im sure a great guy) should not have put him up for it. No comedian would have received high laughter because of the nature of the club. The people did not say after that they did not enjoy it, if you watch the people talking after one said she thought he was doing well. This indicates that a very serious approach to entertainment is normal. The club had ever had stand up comedy and that was the first time. Bernard played Vegas, and Bombay, and went down well in both. Get over it that he has more balls than most comics and that people do laugh at his jokes. Also remember that around 3% of his act is aimed at racist jokes. Watch his videos and you will see.
